I love art in many forms, but it is photography and film that hold my heart. Imagery stirs a desire in me to explore life more deeply. Being naturally reflective, inquisitive and curious about layers of existence and the natural world, taking pictures is a fine pastime for me.

I grew up in the Surrey Hills, England, and I return there when not on the road. Living on a boat amongst the hills and woods is a fine way to restore body and mind. I have always found great solace from the demands of modern life in the outdoors, wandering the paths that wind through ancient trees, hopefully finding a good pub meal afterwards! This connection to nature led me to create a Japanese garden over seven years, largely alone. It was a small paradise, alive with the hum of soil and wildlife, where rocks, paths, and water were energetically and artfully balanced. There, I began to photograph with intent to capture the magic that rose and fell around me, season by season. It was a time of transformation, and the act of photographing became a true passion.
